Mr. Willard Owen Logan, 84, of Holly Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at his home.

He was born on February 26, 1928 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Boone and Anna Glover Logan.

Willard was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was of the Church of God faith and a member of the Ohio Carpenters Union. He loved horses, cooking for his family, canning, raising a garden, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa White Logan, who passed away on February 4, 2002, two sons, Willard Owen Logan, Jr., who passed away on September 21, 2008 and Gary Richard Logan, who passed away on March 2, 1996, four brothers, Glen Logan, Jimmy Logan, John Logan and Howard Logan and three sisters, Edith Lewis, Melva Logan and Inest Logan.

Survivors include one son, Kevin (Regina Yerian) Logan of Morehead, three daughters, Cosba (Dale) Plank and Joan (David) Patrick both of Morehead and Sheila Logan Sorrell of Cincinnati, Ohio, four sisters, Imogene Warren and Louise Whiteley both of Morehead, Naomi Popplewell of Russell Springs and Agnes Holderead of Ogden, Indiana, nine grandchildren, Chelsea Sorrell, Taylor Patrick, Josh Plank, Kala Plank Blevins, Beth Hale, Kristin Logan, Skylar Logan, William Logan and Brandon Stephenson and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2012 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Brother Butch Kelsey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Blevins, Andy Blevins, Danny Dotson, David Dotson, Eddie Warren, Kenny Hamm and Darrell Lewis and honorary pallbearers will be Josh Plank, Dale Plank, David Patrick, Ronnie Martin, Otis Morehouse, Dr. Earl “Chip” Wood, Dr. Matthew Birdwhistell and his best friend, the late Kenny Clark.
