Olive Plank Gregory, age 74, of Stacy Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Olive was born May 23, 1943, in Rowan County to the late Herman Chester Logan and Ruby Velma Hamm Logan. Besides her parents, he was preceded in death by her husband, Darriel Plank; half-brother, Jack Harris; half-sister, Margie Harris-Thompson; niece, Patricia Henderson; maternal grandparents, Marion and Amy Hamm and grandfather, Hayden Logan. Survivors include her loving husband and companion of 17 years, James Gregory; nieces, Marlene and Earl Tackett, Brenda and Jeff Logan, Anita and Heath Loper, Debra Baker and Mary Harris; special nephew, Phillip George Clark; sister-in-law, Minnie Harris; self-adopted daughter, Charlene Gulley and Harry Gulley, as well as many other family and friends. Olive was an employee of the U.S. Forest Service for seven years. She was a member of the Rock Fork Christian Church and loved her church family. She would have cookouts where she and James made everyone feel at home. Olive enjoyed cooking, cleaning and canning vegetables. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Butch Kelsey officiating. Burial will follow in Masters Cemetery. Pallbearers: Marlene Tackett, Charlene Gulley, Liz Pecco, Kathy Kidd, Brenda Logan and Carol Robertson. Honorary pallbearers: Cosba Plank, Carrie Lewis, Debra Baker, and Harry Gulley. Visitation is Sunday, August 27, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
