Charles Lloyd Lamar, 68, of Tollesboro, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at Fleming County Hospital, following an extended illness.

Born November 17, 1933, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late Omar and Josephine Hamm Lamar, and was the husband of 43 years of Lora Corns Lamar. He was a retired mechanic and truck driver for Hackworth Trucking. He was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church.

Services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro. Bro. Phil Cropper and Bro. John Moore officiated with burial in Martin Cemetery.
