Mary Lillian Hamm Fraley, age 91, formerly of Center Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the Life Care Center in Morehead.

Born February 2, 1920, in Rowan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Laura Cline Hamm. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, Bill Hamm, Ellis Hamm, Christine Stevens, Earl Hamm, Josephine Hamm, and Glen Hamm.

Her husband of 68 years, James Jackson “Jack” Fraley, passed away May 14, 2005.

Mrs. Fraley is survived by two daughters, Barbara Joann (Jimmie) Black of Salt Lick, Kentucky, and Marilyn (Harold) Hogge of Morehead, Kentucky; three granddaughters, Teresa (Jamie) Shields, Carmen (David) Corbin, and Carla (Brian) Sivinski; and four great grandchildren, Chelsea Shields, James Hunter Shields, Cameron Corbin, and Katie Sivinski.

Other survivors include three sisters, Jean Amorocho of West Carrollton, Ohio, Betty Caudill and Joyce Campbell, both of Dayton, Ohio.

In addition to being a wife, mother, homemaker, and master quilter, she was an employee of Cowden Mfg. and Union Grocery. Lillian “Mammaw” Fraley was a humble Christian lady who loved God, her husband Jack, and her family. Lillian loved to make beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She also loved worshipping the Lord for many years at the Cranston Church of God. Lillian loved life and enjoyed playing games and laughing with her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind many beautiful quilts and many cherished memories in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Hogge Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jamie Shields, David Corbin, Brian Sivinski, Wayne Caudill, Lawrence Dowdy, John Dowdy, Cameron Corbin, and James Hunter Shields.
