Mr. Hamilton was born December 30, 1933 in Fleming County to the late Benjamin C. and Lela Zenith Gooding Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton was a retired sheet metal worker with Boeing and Lockheed and after retirement and returning to Fleming County, he worked as a carpenter. Mr. Hamilton faithfully served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his children Ricky Carter (Sandy) Hamilton, Gregory Martin Hamilton, Julie Crump, Vicki (Jerry) Baker, and Jonna (James) Hayslip; several grandchildren and many great grandchildren; siblings Beulah Watson and Sue Bradley; several nieces & nephews.

Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his parents; wife Beverly Bruce Thacker Hamilton; two son-in-laws Mike Crump and Charles Bailey; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Saturday February 21, 2015 at Boone – Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Redmon officiating.

Burial will follow in Goddard Cemetery with military rites performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Visitation will be 6 –8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
