Wendell E. Doyle, 67, of Mason County, formerly of Fleming County, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side. Born April 14, 1948 in Fleming County, Wendell was a son of the late Sanford and Blanche Hester Doyle. Wendell was a crop adjuster for many years, a farmer, and the owner of Doyle Fertilizer and the A&A Food Mart in Plumville. A hard worker, Wendell was always on the move, always doing something...mostly working and usually with his precious dog "Lilly" by his side. Wendell was an avid UK basketball fan and he loved watching Westerns and also developed a love of watching reality TV. But most of all, Wendell was a kind, sweet and gentle man who always treated everyone with kindness. His soft heart, filled with love and compassion for people and living creatures, was evident to everyone, and for that, he is, and will be sorely missed. Wendell is survived by: his fiance' and special care giver, Michelle Bradford of Plumville; a brother, Raymond (Ruby) Doyle of Grayson; four sisters, Betty (Mike) Masters of Flemingsburg, Judy (Bobby) Corns of Foxport, Beulah Howell of Flemingsburg, and Marcy (Mike) Roberts of Foxport; another special caregiver, Kathy Bradford of Plumville; his "special boys" Brandon Thomas of Plumville and Matthew Earles of old Washington; his faithful four-legged companion, "Lilly"; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Besides his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by: a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Bill Stephens, a brother-in-law, Ronald "Joe" Howell; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Tammy Doyle. Per Wendell's adamant request, a memorial visitation only, will be held from 5-9 pm Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Foxport. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056. Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
