Marbeth H. Watt, 70, of Crossett died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at her home. Born June 20, 1936, in Holly Ridge, LA, to her late parents Lee and Mae Phillips Hamm, Mrs. Watt was a food service worker for the Crossett Public Schools and a member of Community Chapel Church. She also kept the nursery for many years at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ed Watt of Crossett; one son, Lawrence Watt and wife Tammy of Crossett; one daughter, Carol Fletcher and husband Robert of Crossett; eight brothers, Huey Lee, Thomas and Cleave Hamm of Rayville, LA, Hershel, Bill and Jack Hamm of Crossett, and Paul and James Hamm of Monroe, LA, two sisters, Jessie Mae Burgess of Tallulah, LA, and Barbara Garner of Mt. View; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy Fletcher Adkins, and a brother, Marvin Hamm. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, October 6, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Bros. Gayle Riles and Mike Chain officiating. Burial followed at the Crossroads Cemetery.
