Mary Jane Tackett, 78, died Saturday, March 10, in Paintsville Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Aug 28, 1900, in Johnson County, daughter of Henry and Mint Conley Cantrell. She was a resident of Paintsville and a member of the United Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Jack Jayne, Paintsville and Edward Tackett, Grayson; three daughters, Deana Montgomery and Jean Hanshaw, Paintsville, and Georgene Hughes, Hazel Park, MI; a brother, Linnie Montgomery, Paintsville, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Mar 13, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Castle and Rev. C. C. Hall officiating. Burial was in Jayne Cemetery, Staffordsville, with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
