Charlie Blanton, 64, of Staffordsville, KY, died Sunday in a Paintsville hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at Bethel United Baptist Church of which he was a member, by ministers, J. T. Bailey, Florida Lyons and Arnold Reed. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Staffordsville. Born Nov 14, 1908 in Johnson County, KY, he was a son of the late George and Addie Pritchard Blanton. He was a retired clerk with the Kroger Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma McKenzie Blanton; two sons, John W. Blanton of Staffordsville and George L. Blanton of Flat Gap, KY; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Baldwin and Mrs. Nell Pelphrey of Staffordsville; two brothers, Sanford and George Blanton, Jr. of Volga, KY, two sisters, Mrs. Sally Pelphrey of Volga and Mrs. Addie Blanton of Oil Springs; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
