Billy E. Hinton, 72, of Hillsboro, husband of 53 years to Lynda Walker Hinton, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 21, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1944 in Mason County, a son of the late Ford and Henrietta Muse Hinton. A farmer, and dairy farmer for 26 years, Billy also worked at U.S. Shoe for several years. Billy loved sports, and he excelled in sports, particularly in basketball and baseball. He was an avid UK basketball fan and Cincinnati Reds fan. Billy attended Flemingsburg Baptist Church, and was a member of Kentucky Farm Bureau. He will always be remembered by his family and friends for loving his farm and his old black truck. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by: a special maternal aunt, Anna Jewell Mullins of Bedford, KY; a special son-in-law, Donnie Blevins and his daughter Sierra of Flemingsburg; paternal aunt, Aileen Gulley of Flemingsburg; a brother, Jackie (Nettie) Hinton of Hillsboro; a sister, Cindy (Randy) Thompson of Hillsboro; several nieces,nephews and cousins; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Bobby Joe Vice of Flemingsburg, Jim and Donna Walker of Richmond, IN, Brenda and Kenny Hill of Flemingsburg, and Gerald Walker of Abilene, TX. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious daughter, who he affectionately called "Shug", Sherry Hinton Blevins. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Carpenter-Fritz & Vice Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Billie Wagoner. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, October 25th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wedonia Cemetery.
