Monnie Curtis Hall, age 80, of Sharkey Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Pioneer Trace in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

She was born November 9, 1931, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Hobart and Martha Jane Markwell Curtis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Baker, and two brothers, Oral and Elwood Curtis.

Her husband, William (Bill) Hall, passed away October 6, 2000.

Mrs. Hall is survived by one son, Jack Curtis Hall of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one daughter, Willa Hall Grannis and husband Daryl of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Kent Grannis, Carey Grannis, J. R. Hall, Joshua Hall, and Cymantha Hall; four step grandchildren, Sarah, Kasey, and Kenny Ritchie and Heaven Carr; and 10 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two brothers, Emerson Curtis of Firebrick, Kentucky, and Elbert Curtis of Morehead, Kentucky; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hall was a homemaker who loved to sew and listen to gospel music. She was a member of Sharkey Freewill Baptist Church.

Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, with a funeral immediately following at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., and Brother John Tucker officiating. Private interment will take place 9 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Kent Grannis, Carey Grannis, Jack Hall, Jr., Clinton Curtis, Mike Bocka, and Daryl Grannis.

Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
