James H. Blanton, 66, of Staffordsville, died Friday,
June 12,1996 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster,
Ohio. <p>He was born February 8, 1930, in Johnson County, the son of Everett and Dona Jayne Blanton. <p>Surviving are his wife, Ruth Blanton; two sons, James C. Blanton of Crossville, Tennessee and Jerry Blanton of Paintsville; one step-son, Robert Miller of Staffordsville; one daughter, Connie Spradlin of Cincinnati Ohio; one brother, Paul R Tackett of Staffordsville; and one grandchild.<p> The services were July 15 at the Fish Trap United Baptist Church in Staffordsville with Dick Vanhoose and Lowell Webb officiating. Burial was at the Lake View Memorial Cemetery.
Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of services.
