Dessie Hamilton Parker, 77, of Olive Hill, died Tuesday, Aug. 14 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born April 25, 1924 in Carter County to the late Albert Allen Glover and Essie Frances Masters Glover. She was retired from Cowden Sewing Factory where she worked in the cutting room and attended the East End Church of God. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Wylie Parker of Olive Hill; six sons, Robert E. "Bob" Hamilton of New Castle, Ind., Garry Hamilton and Terry Hamilton, both of Carthage, Ind., Roger Hamilton of Knightstown, Ind., Jeffrey Hamilton and Timothy Hamilton, both of Morehead; five daughters, Martha Richmond of Carthage, Ind., Joyce Hamm and Jennifer Riley, both of Olive Hill, Sandra Lavine of Sewell, N.J. and Sheila K. Davis of Morehead; one step-son; seven step-daughters; one brother, John Stevens of Spiceland, Ind.; two sisters, Carrie Jones and Marie Fannin, both of Carthage, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Bruce Hamilton on March 13, 1990; two step-sons; one step-daughter; and one brother, Carl Stevens. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Chris Russell and Don Rivers officiating. Visitation anytime Friday at the funeral home. Burial at Upper Flat Fork Church of Christ Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Tim Hamilton, Jeff Hamilton, Danny Hamm, Anthony Hamm, Chris Hamilton, Walter Hamilton, Bruce Hamilton, Chad Riley and Dwight Riley. Honorary pallbearers: T.J.
